Here is a checklist to make sure you are ready to install your own motherboard.
  1. Do you have a processor? Is it the one you want?
  2. Do you have a motherboard? Is it compatible with the CPU?
  3. Do you have a case that will hold the motherboard and processor you chose?
  4. Do you have a heat sink / fan for your CPU?
  5. Do you have memory that is compatible with your motherboard?
